Job Title: Coding Quality Review Specialist
Location: Nashville, TN (Work From Home)
Pay: $87,900 - $90,000 per year

Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Coding Quality Review Specialist to join our team in Nashville, TN. This full-time, remote role will focus on ensuring the accuracy and compliance of coding for inpatient and outpatient services across multiple Health Information Management Service Centers (HSC). The ideal candidate will have extensive coding experience and a passion for maintaining high standards in medical coding practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal quality assessment reviews for Health Information Management Service Center (HSC) coders.
- Lead coding quality reviews, including routine, pre-bill, policy-driven, and incentive plan-driven audits for inpatient and outpatient coding.
- Ensure compliance with national guidelines, HSC policies, and company coding standards.
- Apply expert-level knowledge of medical coding practices to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
- Participate in special projects or reviews, ensuring 95% accuracy and productivity standards.
- Stay up-to-date with coding knowledge and resources, including clinical guidelines and data quality standards.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or Health Information Technology (HIT) preferred (Associate’s or Bachelor’s).
- Active RHIA, RHIT certification required.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on MS-DRG inpatient coding experience in a hospital setting.
- At least 10 years of total medical coding experience preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in coding across all body systems, not limited to one specialty.
- Ability to pass a coding test, which includes multiple-choice and behavioral questions (90-minute test).
- Must reside in an eligible state (excludes California, Alaska, New York, and Colorado).
