Graphic Technician
Location: Arden Hills, Minnesota, United States
Pay: $49,920 to $60,320 (Base Salary)
Shift:
- Shift 1: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM (4 days week 1, 3 days week 2)
- Shift 2: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (4 days week 1, 3 days week 2)

Description:
As a Graphic Technician, you will be responsible for all aspects of ink preparation for printing presses. Your duties will include monitoring press schedules, formulating and mixing inks, performing quality color checks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will play a key role in supporting production operations and ensuring that all work is performed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors the press schedule to determine ink needs and quantities for upcoming jobs.
- Ensures accurate completion of ink inventory paperwork at the end of each shift.
- Mixes standard and matched color ink, samples ink batches, prints swatches, and performs quality color checks.
- Manufactures the required quantity of ink according to coverage requirements.
- Uses a color meter and/or spectrometer to match sample colors.
- Labels inks as required.
- Monitors press-related ink problems and suggests solutions.
- Handles and disposes of all inks properly.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area in the ink room, office, storage area, and mixing area.
- Adheres to company work rules and safety regulations.
- Performs strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds (and up to 100 pounds as necessary), working in extreme temperatures, and standing for extended periods.
Minimum Mandatory Requirements:
- At least 1 year of ink mixing/color matching experience.
- Ability to see color.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of successful manufacturing experience.
- Ability to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds and even 100 pounds as necessary, work in extreme temperatures, and stand for long periods.
