Brief Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead Data & Business Intelligence (BI) projects within our IT organization. The ideal candidate will manage geographically dispersed teams across the US, UK, and India, ensuring seamless project execution, stakeholder communication, and business alignment.
Candidates with Insurance/Reinsurance experience will be strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, timelines, and coordinate workstreams with business owners and team leads.
- Maintain backlogs, user stories, and task boards to track progress effectively.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication by providing updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns.
- Lead cross-functional teams of data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate risks while developing contingency plans.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Oversee project budgets, tracking costs and reporting financial performance.
- Ensure project deliverables align with business objectives and quality standards.
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to meet goals.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 8–10 years’ experience managing Data & BI projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to drive data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in IT project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
- Strong leadership, time management, and negotiation skills.
- Technical knowledge of software development processes, data management, and Azure fundamentals.
- Experience with project tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Insurance/Reinsurance industry experience is a significant plus.
