Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to design, program, test, and maintain industrial automation systems within the plastics manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in integrating real-time machine data into an ERP system (Delmia) to optimize production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement PLC programs for manufacturing automation.
- Design and integrate control systems for automated machinery.
- Configure and troubleshoot PLC hardware/software (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric).
- Ensure smooth data flow from machines to ERP systems (Delmia).
- Conduct testing, debugging, and optimization of automation processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency.
- Provide technical support for production and maintenance teams.
- Maintain documentation of PLC programs, configurations, and system modifications.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in PLC programming & automation
- Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram proficiency
- Experience in plastics manufacturing and machine integration
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Knowledge of OPC UA (e.g., Codesys) for machine-to-machine communication
- Python programming (Highly Preferred)
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Modbus, HMI, SCADA, Raspberry Pi
- IQMS/Delmia ERP experience
This role requires a self-driven engineer who can take ownership of automation projects and work closely with manufacturing teams to enhance data-driven decision-making in production.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
