Powerhouse Maintenance Technician
Location: Syracuse, New York, United States
Pay: $70,761 (Base Salary)
Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Description:
As a Powerhouse Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex machinery and electrical components, including steam boilers, air compressors, power generating equipment, and pressurized piping systems. This role requires troubleshooting, maintenance, and chemical testing to ensure the proper functioning of critical equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair steam boilers, air compressors, electrical systems, automatic boiler controls, pumps, motors, and power generating equipment.
- Perform chemical tests to maintain boilers and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair both analog and digital control systems.
- Perform tear-downs of complex units, determine the extent of troubles, repair or replace parts or wiring, and reassemble.
- Use hand tools and pipe-fitting machinery to bend, thread, and cut pipe, as well as solder and sweat copper joints.
- Install and maintain high-pressure steam stations, including steam lines, traps, strainers, regulators, and valves.
- Troubleshoot and identify issues with powerhouse equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Work with mechanical drawings and follow electrical and plumbing diagrams.
- Edit and enter time schedule data using the energy management system.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of Powerhouse Technician experience.
- Strong ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Ability to relocate or commute within 50 miles of Syracuse (relocation assistance available).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of full-time experience as a Powerhouse Technician.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of mechanical equipment.
