Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU provides high-level care for critically ill patients, leading a team of nurses and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient-centered care. The RN’s duties include patient assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in alignment with best practices, policies, and a commitment to patient and family satisfaction. This position requires adherence to evidence-based practices, safety protocols, and quality outcomes, with a strong focus on compassion and patient advocacy.
Must-Haves:
- Licensure & Certification:
- Must have current RN licensure in Michigan.
- Must complete twenty-five contact hours of continuing education during the licensure period, including at least 2 hours in pain and pain symptom management and 1 hour in implicit bias training.
- Current CPR certification and any specialty certifications as required.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) required.
- Experience:
- Candidates must have at least 1 year of stability at each hospital. Travel nurses and contract nurses will not be considered.
- Additional Requirements:
- Vendor partners are prohibited from uploading modified or reformatted resumes.

- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
- Informatics & Technology:
- Accurately document care and patient progress in the electronic health record.
- Use technology to support patient safety, mitigate errors, and enhance decision-making.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Coordinate care, ensuring timely and appropriate hand-offs and interactions.
- Leadership & Professionalism:
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to high-quality care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to positive team dynamics.
