As the R&D Manager, you will oversee and guide the development of new products, ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate guidelines.
Job Description:
As the Research and Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing R&D activities, ensuring efficient use of resources, and maintaining high-quality standards in the development of pharmaceutical products. You will work closely with senior management to evaluate new projects, lead R&D personnel, and foster strong collaboration with other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling Daily Activities: Coordinate daily tasks to ensure customer and internal satisfaction, while maximizing equipment usage under the direction of the Sr. Director of R&D.
- Reporting Progress: Provide regular updates on R&D activities to Applied Management.
- Maintaining R&D Facilities and Equipment: Ensure that R&D facilities and equipment are maintained and updated regularly.
- Evaluating New Projects: Assist in evaluating new projects during the development stages in collaboration with the Sr. Director of R&D and other departments.
- Balancing Department Needs: Manage the competing needs of the R&D department, business development, and clients.
- Communicating Project Progress: Communicate project progress and concerns to both clients and management, both in written reports and verbal updates.
- Directing R&D Personnel: Lead R&D staff efficiently and professionally to ensure productivity and success.
- Leading Efficiency Efforts: Drive continuous improvement in the R&D team’s processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Utilizing Personnel Resources: Ensure optimal use of personnel resources for each task at hand.
- Communicating Needs: Communicate the needs of the R&D department to management and staff.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- 5-8 years of pharmaceutical industry experience required.
- 3-5 years of laboratory management experience in R&D required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards and laboratory management.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and effectively manage personnel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $91,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
