The Colonial Inn & Creamery is seeking a meticulous and experienced Housekeeper to join our dedicated team!
Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region, our 14-room boutique hotel offers guests a unique and unforgettable experience. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. We are looking for a passionate and reliable individual to help us uphold this reputation.
Responsibilities:
- Thorough cleaning and sanitization of guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Replenishing guest amenities and supplies.
- Cleaning and maintaining common areas, including hallways, lobbies, and restrooms.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or damages to the management team.
- Adhering to all hotel policies and safety procedures.
- Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor with guests and colleagues.
- Laundry duties as needed.
- Assisting with other tasks as assigned by the management team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a housekeeper in a hotel or similar environment is required and must have at least 3 years previous experience.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning supplies.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Local to Watkins Glen or surrounding areas preferred.
