Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Counselor located in Newark, NJ. The Counselor will be responsible for providing individual and group counseling sessions, creating treatment plans, conducting assessments, and developing therapeutic relationships with clients. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring client progress, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications
- Experience in individual and group counseling
- Skills in creating treatment plans and conducting assessments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop therapeutic relationships and monitor client progress
- Experience with record-keeping and collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred
- Relevant certification or licensure in counseling or mental health
- Experience working with substance use disorder or mental health clients is a plus
