Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full-time Manager of Billing Services to lead our billing operations for both ABA and Speech therapies. This key role involves overseeing all accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely claim submissions, and managing follow-ups to optimize reimbursements. The Manager of Billing Services will also be responsible for reconciling payments, maintaining compliance with insurance and regulatory requirements, and supporting the organization’s financial health through accurate and efficient billing practices. Additionally, this position will oversee the document management system, manage authorizations, and provide critical reporting to leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire billing cycle, ensuring the accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance providers, including verification of insurance coverage and benefits prior to service provision.
- Ensure timely completion of all billing documents including but not limited to treatment plans, assessment authorizations, insurance claims, insurance changes, payer denials, insurance requests, etc.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of billing team operations, ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Collaborate with families and providers regarding insurance/ billing questions and assist with payer denials and appeals.
- Continuously assess current billing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement. Implement solutions to enhance the accuracy and speed of billing operations.
- Review AR aging reports regularly to track outstanding balances and identify trends or problem areas.
- Ensure accurate and compliant claim submissions for insurance reimbursements, and follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving discrepancies, and escalating issues as necessary.
- Ensure AR processes comply with payer requirements, federal regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in medical billing, particularly in ABA services or healthcare settings.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of managing and developing a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and insurance representatives.
- Strong analytical skills to assess billing processes and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ABA-specific billing software is a plus.

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
