**Job Opportunity Overview**
Coverage is urgently needed for a hospitalist position. We are seeking an experienced physician to fill this role.
- This is an ongoing opportunity with flexible scheduling.
Schedule
The schedule consists of 12-hour day shifts and 12-hour night on-call shifts. The typical day shift runs from 7am-7pm, while the on-call phone calls can occur between 0-5 in the morning. Hospitalists are expected to be onsite from 7:30am-5pm.
- Day Shift: Average census is 16 patients with 5 admits per shift.
- Night Call: Typically involves 2-3 admissions, with quick response required in emergency situations.
Clinical Details
This is a 12-bed open ICU environment. Hospitalists will start by rounding in the ICU, seeing overnight admits, and then rounding at the med-surg unit in collaboration with nursing staff and case management.
- Hospitalists are responsible for running codes and responding with the Rapid Response Team.
- They also supervise APPs when called in for high census.
- Solo coverage is required, with support available from ED physicians, anesthesia teams, and respiratory teams if needed.
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold an active AL license.
- Be board certified in ABIM.
- Possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Have a minimum of 2 years hospitalist experience.
- Be proficient in procedures such as arterial lines, central lines, intubations, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and vent management.
EMR System
The EMR system used is Med Host with dictation capabilities through Fluency Flex.
