Job Summary
This role involves initiating agent relationships within an assigned territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for reaching annual and quarterly benchmarks for new agent contracts and production within the assigned territory. They will establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives to meet individual and team goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Initiate agent relationships within the assigned territory.
Reach annual and quarterly benchmarks for new agent contracts and production within the assigned territory.
Establish methods and procedures for obtaining specific goals and objectives.
Maintain current status on all sales leads as received.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve agent problems.
Primary Skills & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in sales or marketing is preferred, but not required.
Intermediate understanding of the insurance industry and the agent/carrier relationship.
Excellent communication skills, especially over the phone.
