Job Summary
The Carrier Representative is responsible for Marketing insurance products and services offered by Ritter Insurance Marketing to agents/agencies focusing on a primary carrier. Maintain and enhance current agent/agency relationships throughout the service area and enhancing the relationship with the primary carrier/carrier representatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Make targeted outbound calls to agents/agencies interested in offering insurance products for the specific carrier:
Agent leads obtained through marketing campaigns
Agent prospects currently in Ritter’s database
Active agents within Ritter’s database
Make courtesy calls as assigned to top agents in their primary carrier.
Continued agent outreach, focusing on increasing current agent engagement, production and recruitment in their primary carrier.
Take incoming calls with questions about your specific carrier.
Assumes responsibility to fully understand and use all online services provided by Ritter Insurance Marketing.
Completes assigned Service Requests (SR’s).
Initial follow-up by end of business day SR is received.
Daily follow-up until SR is resolved.
Assisting in the facilitating and sharing of carrier information and updates with internal departments in a timely manner.
Provides team coordinator with all necessary templates and product information prior to forwarding contract requests.
Assists with sales and marketing events and meetings.
Interpret and analyze plan data to make appropriate recommendations to agents, staff, and management.
Actively assist in development and execution of assigned carrier sales and marketing plan
Attend carrier trainings, events, and webinars as required.
Develop and maintain a professional relationship with our Carrier Contacts, through organizing and participating in Carrier Calls and meetings.
Assumes responsibility for miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
Primary Skills & Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic understanding of insurance and agent relationship.
Knowledge of Sales, Marketing, Licensing, and New Business operations and procedures.
Good communication skills, especially over the phone.
Good computer and typing skills.
Good customer service skills.
Soft sales skills.
Health and Life Insurance License preferred
