Job Description:
CSG Actuarial is looking for a software engineer to join our collaborative and growing team. At CSG Actuarial we are a fun environment that values teamwork and as a software engineer you not only get to be a part of the development process, but you also get to see your work in action. We are a fast-paced development team that releases new products and services each week to thousands of customers. The engineering team has a role in building the technology to support our ever-growing user base and as a software engineer at CSG Actuarial you will have the opportunity to be a part of the success of the organization. Our engineering team produces high impact products and services while working collaboratively with the product team, designers, and sales team.
Responsibilities:
Create scalable web applications using modern technologies
Collaborate with our product and design team to build new features, tools, and functionality to improve our product
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
Maintain and modernize existing applications
Keep current on emerging technologies in software development
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development life cycle
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Computer Science and at least 3 years of relevant experience
Solid understanding of HTTP standards and networking in general
Proficiency with Python and Typescript (intermediate to advanced level)
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of software development experience
Solid understanding of RESTful web services
Proficiency with Google Cloud, or Azure, or AWS
Proficiency with React library and FastAPI framework
Some experience with relational databases
Proficiency with modernized testing
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Self-disciplined and accel in fast-paced environments
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
