We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced On-Site Supervisor to oversee our custodial staff and operations. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience managing facilities greater than 300,000 net cleaning sq. ft. as well as experience managing a team of 20–40 custodial staff members. The On-Site Supervisor should be trained and certified in the operation of all custodial equipment in use under the SOW and should possess the necessary certifications to maintain a safe, healthy and environmentally friendly workplace. Must be experienced and qualified to ensure effective and efficient cleaning operations. Must be fluent in English and knowledgeable in janitorial cleaning techniques. Must be present during janitorial work, including during normal State business hours and specific holidays (e.g., Martin Luther King’s Day, President’s Day).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the custodial staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Supervise the custodial staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure that all custodial staff follow proper cleaning procedures and use appropriate cleaning materials and equipment.
- Inspect work areas to ensure that they meet established cleanliness standards.
- Ensure that all custodial staff follow OSHA regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain LEED and CEH certification standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with REA certification standards.
- Respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualification:
- · Experience managing a team of 20–40 custodial staff members.
- Candidates with prior university supervisory experience are required.
- Experience working in educational environments is preferred.
- Trained and certified in the operation of all custodial equipment in use under the SOW.
- Requires thorough knowledge of cleaning tasks, equipment, and materials to guide cleaning personnel.
