The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing painting projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing project teams, coordinating with clients, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop project plans, including scope, timeline, and budget.
- Coordinate resources, materials, and labor to meet project demands.
- Ensure all projects adhere to company and client specifications.
- Team Management:
- Lead and supervise project teams, including painters, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for team members.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and expectations.
- Conduct site visits and progress meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates and reports.
- Budget & Cost Control:
- Monitor project budgets and expenses to prevent overruns.
- Approve purchase orders and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure projects meet industry standards, specifications, and client expectations.
- Conduct site inspections to assess workmanship and adherence to safety regulations.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Problem-Solving & Risk Management:
- Identify and resolve project risks, delays, and challenges proactively.
- Handle change orders and adapt project plans as necessary.
- Investigate and resolve any project-related disputes or concerns.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of project management experience in the painting or construction industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP or other project management certifications.
- Experience with commercial, residential, and industrial painting projects.
- Familiarity with estimating software and bidding processes.
