As a Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner, you will work closely with physicians and other referring healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with pulmonary conditions. You will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely diagnosis, creating treatment plans, and educating patients on self-care and disease management. Your expertise will be essential in managing and monitoring patients with chronic respiratory diseases, such as asthma, COPD, and pulmonary fibrosis.

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications :
- Completion of a graduate level (or higher) nurse practitioner program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- No experience required but preferred
- Preferred 1 year in pulmonary, not required but preferred.
- Preferred minimum 1 year as a Nurse Practitioner, not required but preferred.
Current RN’s who have not yet completed their nurse practitioner program or recent graduates who have not yet obtained their ANCC / AANP certification, or APRN nurse practitioner license are eligible to apply for this position. However, official employment is contingent upon the successful completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program, ANCC / AANP certification and APRN nurse practitioner licensure.
JOB DUTIES :
Adheres to state guidelines and all requirements for continued licensure, periodic evaluations, and actively seeks input for identifying actions to improve performance and practice outcomes.Performs individualized history and physical examinations for diverse populations inclusive of social determinants of healthOrders and interprets diagnostic testing in accordance with relevant health concerns of the patientDiagnoses acute, episodic, and chronic diseasesDevelops a comprehensive plan of care that encompasses evidence-based practice guidelines, practice protocols, Medicare, Medicaid, and other state and federal regulations.Provides appropriate education for current health diagnoses as well as anticipatory guidance for health promotion and disease prevention applicable to the individual’s health and socioeconomic statusMonitors plan of care for cost-effectiveness and the achievement of expected improvements, while openly seeking feedback from those receiving care, referents, colleagues and caregiver / patient support systems while collaborating with physician and peers patients to enhance quality outcomesDocuments in a timely manner to ensure all services are accurately accounted for and available for review by the interdisciplinary teamWorks independently to full scope of practice in compliance with the Arizona Nurse Practice Act with acknowledgement of off-site collaborating physician availability for consultation and collaborationBENEFITS :
