We are looking for a Personal Care Assistant to join our team to work with adult clients. Our residents need assistance with personal hygiene, safely transferring into and out of the shower, brushing teeth and hair, and shaving if necessary. The ideal candidate needs to be able to lift up to 75 pounds and have previous experience assisting adults with personal care, previous adult care home experience a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Observe residents for signs of illness, injury, or pain and report relevant information to Supervisor.
- Provide assistance with grooming, bathing, etc. to residents.
- Be available to act as a caregiver to residents when needed.
- Provide light housekeeping duties in addition to services as a caregiver.
- Communicate with residents and be able to understand their questions and concerns.
- Provide emotional support to residents and families.
- Educate residents in proper hygiene, nutrition, safety, exercise, and other health activities.
- Maintain resident confidentiality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $8.00 - $10.00 per hour
