Maintenance Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the Maintenance Department by supervising daily work and schedules as well as capital projects and PM (Preventive Maintenance program).Provides technical support by training and troubleshooting to maintenance and manufacturing personnel.
- Insures that all company policies and procedures, including GMPs, Food Safety and Quality requirements are followed.
- Interprets operational manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, blueprints and schematics for manufacturing and ancillary equipment.
- Provides guidance and shares knowledge electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, machining and fabrication.
- Manages capital authorizations when assigned by AZ Plant Manager.
- Manages and initiates PM program and track results.
- Initiates Continuous Improvement programs
- Remains current on OSHA and LO/TO procedures and updates as required.
- Manages a vendor base to ensure quality product availability while minimizing costs and maintaining the highest of service levels to the plant.
- Includes operating supplies, repair and maintenance support and services.
- Manages storeroom supplies related to R&M.
- Researches and executes capital appropriation expenditures.
- Manages procurement activity of repair and maintenance goods and services via requisitions.
- Assist accounting in reconciliation of invoice discrepancies and approves for payment.
- Previous experience working in a food/beverage or nutraceutical production/manufacturing environment preferred.
Required Experience:
- A minimum 10 years work-related experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience required
- College degree in Engineering
- College Degree in engineering; including knowledge of manufacturing methods and techniques.
- Experience in Capital Expenditures
- Six Sigma/Operational Excellence project management
