Job Opportunity : Set Up Technician

A client of ours located in Wilsonville is looking for a Set Up Technician for the Molding Department to join their team.

About the Company : This company uses advanced metal injection molding technology to create top-quality small precision parts. Their parts are known for their exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and density.

Permanent hire chance post-contract hours.

Responsibilities

Performs equipment set-ups as directed, including installing injection molds.
Handles the entire set-up process and ensures that equipment is generating quality parts.
Adjusts machine parameters to correct defects observed during production, ensuring continuous quality output.
Collaborates with process engineering to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, optimize production, and conduct engineering tests.
Collects and enters data to support documented procedures, ensuring accurate and thorough records.
Manages robot programming and optimization to enhance efficiency and performance.
Responsible for barrel cleaning and grinder cleaning, maintaining equipment in top working condition.

Requirements :

HS Diploma / GED

Previous experience with injection molding equipment preferred

Molding and / or tooling experience preferred

Basic to moderate computer / PC skills (MS Office)

Good time management skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Mechanical aptitude preferred

Ability to maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Understands and applies work and safety instructions in English

Ability to work varying work schedules during training

Schedule : Tuesday – Saturday, 11PM - 7 : 30AM (The Tuesday shift starts Monday night at 11 : 00 pm and the work week ends Saturday morning when you clock out at 7 : 30 am.)

Training : Monday - Friday, 7AM - 3 : 30PM

Pay : $18.36 / hr. - $19 / hr. DOE $1.25 Shift Differential

Salary : $18 - $19
