Manual Machinist (1st Shift) - Akron, Ohio - JOB 25-01001
Salary Range : $20.00 - $30.00 / HR Permanent Position with Benefits.
Akron Area Manufacturing Company is seeking to hire an experienced Manual Machinist to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in a machine shop
- 2 years of manufacturing experience operating metal lathes
- Crank machines through cycles, stopping to adjust tool positions and machine controls to ensure specified timing, clearances and tolerances
- Familiar with manual speeds and feeds for mills
- Select cutting tools, follow tooling instructions according to written specifications
- Properly use and interpret micrometers, bore gages, calipers, and other measuring equipment
- Able to understand technical documentation, blueprints, routing instructions...
- Understanding lean principals preferred
- CNC experience is a plus
- Able to work 1st shift 6am - 4 : 30pm Monday - Thursday or 7am - 3 : 30pm Monday - Friday
