GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Trades Helper assists one or more technicians in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill. This position assists the technicians by holding materials or tools and performing other unskilled tasks as directed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assists one or more technicians by performing specific or general duties.
- Assists by holding materials or tools and performing other tasks as directed by the technicians.
- Assists with project clean up as needed.
- Assist with warehouse and truck inventories.
- Available for scheduled on-call to respond to after-hours emergency service calls.
- Ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel (approximately 50% - 60% of the time) to remote US locations.
- Ability to work from ladders or man lifts at extended heights.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position requires no supervisor or manager responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
- Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in the Electronic Security Technician field is a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
- Must be a self-starter, team player, detail oriented, and possess strong organizational skills.
- Must have a working knowledge and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Completion of the OSHA 10 or higher training course is preferred.
- Must possess valid driver's license and driving history must meet company standards throughout employment.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check as a condition of employment and to obtain access to federal installations.
