As a Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) Claims Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in the claims administration process for automotive extended warranties. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and has excellent communication skills. In this role, you will be responsible for capturing, updating, and processing claims data related to Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) agreements. You will investigate claims, confirm contract coverage, and ensure compliance with company guidelines and state regulatory requirements. This role requires excellent problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of financial loan documents and auto valuation tools.

What We're Looking For:
- Experience in insurance claims handling (GAP experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of financial loan documents and auto valuation tools.
- Familiarity with warranty regulations, guidelines, and best practices in the automotive industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with claims management systems/software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple claims while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Position Responsibilities:
- Capture and upload supporting documents for claims in compliance while following standard operating procedures.
- Confirm contract status and identify coverage.
- Investigate and adjudicate claims according to contract guidelines.
- Follow established claims-handling procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Review and interpret financial loan documents.
- Collect and document data in company systems to support accurate claims assessment.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and concerns regarding GAP contract and claims outcomes.
- Field calls related to GAP coverage after a total loss claim, offering clear and professional resolutions.
- Review and utilize auto valuation programs such as Vehicle valuation report, JD Power, PCRS, and other adjusting tools.
- Identify and resolve issues by referring to company policies and procedures.
- Escalate complex issues to senior colleagues or managers when needed.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in training, staying current with industry trends, and engaging in professional networks.
- Contribute to team projects and provide recommendations to improve processes and systems.
