This pivotal role is integral to managing all facets of financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, providing essential support for strategic decision-making, and upholding compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Responsibilities
- Financial Management:
- Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Treasury Management:
- Manage the company’s cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Optimize and monitor banking relationships and liquidity.
- Ensure compliance with covenants and reporting requirements.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and manage annual budget and forecast processes.
- Analyze financial results and provide actionable management insights.
- Support strategic initiatives with financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Internal Controls:
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations:
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
- Resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in treasury management, FP&A, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
