A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of maintenance, including equipment, machinery, building, and grounds. This role ensures timely and cost-effective repairs while maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of maintenance professionals, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support capital expenditure projects related to equipment and facility upgrades. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, budget, vendors, and contractors to support plant safety, quality, cost, and production objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective and preventive actions to optimize production efficiency.
- Provide hands-on technical support to production and collaborate with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) teams to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Develop and execute an effective preventive maintenance program.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on capital expenditure projects, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing implementation.
- Maintain the plant’s CAD drawing library and equipment documentation.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of maintenance management experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment; experience in engineering project management is a plus.
- Certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electricity, engineering, or automation is required; a bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.
- Strong initiative to drive change, work independently, and improve processes, SOPs, and KPIs.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, including reading blueprints, CAD drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement processes, project scheduling, cost tracking, and report writing.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends, as needed, in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements related to QEHS, GMPs, food safety, and building codes.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, lift to 50 lbs., and climb stairs.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% and work flexible shifts to support project execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
