This role is within Intel’s Client Computing Group. CCG is a computing paradigm where services and data reside in scalable data centers, and those services and data can be accessed by any connected device over the Internet. Responsible for designing and optimizing processors, chipsets and other hardware for consumer devices while also working on the software ecosystem, including drivers and utilities that enhance user experience.

Intel is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Post-Silicon Validation Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of cutting-edge CPU/SOC products for laptops, desktops and gaming systems. You will work at the heart of innovation, contributing to the validation of complex CPU architectures and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.

As a Post-Silicon Validation Engineer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute validation plans to verify CPU/SOC functionality, Power and thermal management across multiple silicon platforms.
  • Design, implement, and debug validation tests and methodologies for post-silicon environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, firmware, software, and manufacturing, to identify and resolve issues.
  • Analyze and debug CPU/S and system-level issues using advanced tools and methodologies, ensuring timely root-cause analysis.
  • Drive validation automation, coverage improvement, and process efficiency for validation execution.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

What We Need To See (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 1 years of experience in post-silicon validation, particularly in CPU, SoC, or chipset domains.
  • 6 months experience with CPU architecture, microarchitecture, or Power Management flows.
  • 6 months experience in silicon validation tools, lab equipment (e.g., logic analyzers, oscilloscopes), and debugging techniques.
  • 6 months experience in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C , or Perl) to develop validation tools and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience with Intel architecture, silicon bring-up, and validation flow.
  • Knowledge of firmware and software interaction with hardware.
  • 3 years’ experience with CPU architecture, debug features, microarchitecture, and Power Management flows.
  • 3 years’ experience in silicon validation tools, lab equipment (e.g., logic analyzers, oscilloscopes), and debugging techniques.
  • Familiarity with power and performance testing methodologies.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US $121,050.00-$170,890.00

  • Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
