Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Sr. Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing Linux OS environments, with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). You will also manage various layered applications, ensuring they perform efficiently and securely in alignment with key initiatives driving towards Intel Foundry's success.
Responsibilities: Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the full lifecycle of Linux OS environments, including installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, and security hardening.
- Overseeing integration and compatibility of layered applications, ensuring seamless operation within the RHEL environment and alignment with network and security standards.
- Implementing automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and improve system reliability.
- Applying security best practices to the Linux OS and layered applications, including patch management, vulnerability scanning, and access control.
- Conducting performance monitoring and tuning of both OS and layered applications to ensure system responsiveness and uptime.
- Troubleshooting complex OS and application-level issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- 5 years of experience in Linux Server infrastructure engineering.
- US Citizenship required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government TS/SCI Security Clearance.
