We are seeking a Design Electrical Engineer with experience to support the design and execution of a packaging, warehouse, and administrative facility. - Collaborate with architects and structural engineers to integrate electrical systems.
- Ensure all designs adhere to applicable codes and standards.
- Support development of environmentally compliant and sustainable designs.
- Lead clash detection efforts between electrical systems and other building elements.
- Coordinate systems integration (e.g., lighting, fire alarms, HVAC interlocks).
- Maintain up-to-date documentation aligned with design changes, budget, and schedule.
- Respond to technical inquiries from vendors/contractors.
- Monitor construction for compliance with design specs and address discrepancies.
- Participate in construction meetings to align with real-time project progress.
- Coordinate inspections of electrical installations prior to equipment startup.
- Support the commissioning of electrical systems including mechanical, cold rooms, and manufacturing equipment.
- Participate in final system inspections and validations.
- Provide technical field support to ensure installed systems meet design intent.
- Perform field reviews and offer insight across utilities systems.
- Assist with timely response to RFIs and submittals.
- Support inspections, certifications, turnover documentation, and system walkdowns.
- Redline drawing updates and support engineering change notice closures.
- Coordinate the Transfer of Care, Custody, and Control (TCCC) documentation.
- Verify electrical distribution equipment installation prior to energization.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, ASHRAE, ASME, and related building codes.
- Experience with electrical system design in industrial or commercial facilities.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient and sustainable design principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, Smartsheet, and Kneat.
- Fluent in English, with strong verbal and technical writing skills.
- Must be available during regular business hours, and open to occasional weekend work to meet project timelines.
- Flexibility regarding start date notification, as well as changes or delays to service delivery.
