Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess resident complaints and determine appropriate action, notifying supervisors when necessary.
- Administer oral and/or injectable medication and controlled medications in accordance with facility policy and within their scope of practice as defined by Florida law.
- Prepare paperwork as required for consults within the facility and outside appointments.
- Coordinate residents' appointments with unit staff to ensure medications are appropriately timed as needed for resident movement to and from the unit.
- Provide emergency medical/psychiatric treatment within scope of practice as defined by facility and Florida law, and notify supervisors for further assistance.
Requirements:
- Must be CPR certified, or able to complete training.
- Must be able to complete full orientation at time of hire.
- Remain alert while on duty, and work 16-hour shifts on occasion.
- Ability to speak and understand English.
- Ability to pass a level 2 fingerprinting.
- Ability to stay alert for up to a 16-hour shift.
