Job Description : AWS Backend Developer
Location : Dallas, TX
Duration : 6 to 12 months contract

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Backend Developer with expertise in Python programming and serverless architecture . This is a hands-on coding role focused on building and maintaining backend services for cloud applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving complex problems and has extensive experience working with AWS services to create efficient, scalable, and reliable systems.
Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and maintain backend services for cloud-based applications using Python and AWS serverless architecture.
Implement and optimize AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, and Kinesis for various backend workflows .
Ingest and process data from sources like Kafka streams , ensuring high availability and scalability.
Build and manage event-driven systems to facilitate seamless communication between microservices .
Develop APIs and integrations to support application functionality and data pipelines .
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backend systems for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver robust backend solutions.
Ensure best practices in code quality, architecture, and DevOps.
Requirements :
5 years of experience as a backend developer with a strong focus on AWS and Python .
Proficiency in designing and implementing serverless architectures on AWS.
Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, Kinesis, and IAM .
Expertise in processing and ingesting data from Kafka streams and other real-time data sources.
Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and microservices patterns.
Experience with API development, RESTful design, and integration with external systems.
Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Solid debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning skills.
Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Familiarity with additional AWS services like S3, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
Experience with distributed systems and data pipeline frameworks.
Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration systems like ECS or Fargate.
Prior experience working in Agile development environments.
