IntellecTechs is seeking a Junior Technician to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily onsite support to clients on a rotational basis.
- Troubleshoot IT issues and provide Tier 1-3 support through phone, remote, or onsite assistance.
- Manage, set up, administer, and troubleshoot software, hardware, and network infrastructure, including Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Office365 (Exchange/Teams), and mobile device configurations.
- Create and maintain network documentation (network assessments, customer information stores, maintenance plans, etc.).
- Develop hardware/system operations plans and contribute to disaster recovery and security strategies.
- Write clear technical documentation for systems and applications.
- Prioritize and manage customer requests through internal ticketing systems.
- Recommend and implement IT service improvements to enhance customer experience.
- Serve as a backup to the Managed IT Director and interface with customer POCs to resolve service issues and prioritize work.
- Occasional evening and weekend work in the Washington DC Metro area.
- Install, set up, and support systems for growth and new projects.
- Collaborate with the team and provide accurate technical feedback to developers and business owners to resolve complex issues.
- Implement solutions for scalability and performance improvements.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Technical support experience (24x7 coverage required).
- BS/MS in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- Active or eligibility for Federal Security Clearance.
- 5 years in a Systems or Network Engineer role.
- Microsoft Certifications in Office365 / Azure (preferred).
- Proficiency with Linux, Windows 10/11, MacOS, Windows Server.
- Familiarity with iOS/Android, Office 365 Admin Center, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint.
- Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, MDM/Intune, Windows Group Policy, Azure Conditional Access.
- Understanding of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), PKI, and credential identification (YubiKey, Smartcard, USB Token).
- Experience with Remote Management Systems (Kaseya, ConnectWise).
- Experience with WAN, VPN, firewalls/routers, VMware, XenServer, Hyper-V virtualization.
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex technical tasks and analyses independently or within a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
