Role: CAD Designer III
Location: Irvine, CA
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical CAD Designer with expertise in SolidWorks to join our product engineering team. This role focuses on the design, development, and modification of CAD models and drawings for medical devices. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of mechanical/electromechanical design, GD&T, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for medical devices using SolidWorks (experience with Onshape is a plus).
- Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to develop and refine CAD models and drawings.
- Apply GD&T and drafting standards to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support design changes, product updates, and new product development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with medical device industry standards and design best practices.
Requirements:
- Senior-level experience in CAD design (medical device industry experience preferred).
- Advanced/Expert proficiency in SolidWorks (Onshape experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of mechanical/electromechanical design principles.
- Experience with GD&T, DFM, and design documentation.
- High school diploma required (no higher education required per Integra’s guidelines).
