What are the responsibilities and job description for the Design Process Engineer position at Intellectt Inc?
We are seeking a skilled Design Process Engineer to join our team in Iowa, specializing in the FMCG, CPG, and pharmaceutical industries. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with drafting process P&ID for FMCG, Pharma, Fine, Agro, and specialty chemical processes. This is an onsite position requiring strong coordination skills with offshore design teams, clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure that all design deliverables meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and review process and utility diagrams, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to company’s quality documents.
- Produce 3D models including plant layout, piping design/layout, instruments, valves, piping specials, pipe supports, and cable trays.
- Create intelligent P&IDs within AutoCAD P&ID (or similar software).
- Update client comments (red mark-ups) in P&IDs and ensure all deliverables meet client expectations.
- Use SP3D and PDMS for 3D model reviews, gathering information for all piping systems as defined on P&IDs.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience drafting P&IDs for FMCG/Pharma/Fine/Agro and specialty chemical processes.
- Ability to produce 3D models including plant layout and piping design/layout.
- Experience creating intelligent P&IDs within AutoCAD P&ID (or similar).
- Knowledge of SP3D, PDMS 3D model reviews, and gathering information for piping systems.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D and P&ID mark-up.
- Understanding of PIP-Process Industrial Practices and ISA-5.1 International Standardization of Automation.
Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
