Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer on a contract basis with strong expertise in biopharmaceutical process modeling . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanistic / hybrid modeling , chemometric modeling (e.g., PAT Raman ), and process control . As a contract engineer, you will work with cross-functional teams to implement process modeling and new technologies for process tech transfer and scale-up at our biologics manufacturing sites. This is a hybrid role with both onsite and remote work opportunities in Framingham, MA .
Key Responsibilities :
- Process Modeling & Development : Develop and implement mechanistic / hybrid models to predict the behavior of Drug Substance (DS) and Drug Product (DP) processes, both upstream and downstream.
- Utilize Digital Twins and PAT Raman for process optimization and real-time monitoring / control during process tech transfer and scale-up .
- Advanced Data Analysis & Programming : Apply advanced data analysis techniques and programming skills (e.g., Python ) to build predictive models and improve process efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate with R&D , Manufacturing , Quality , and Digital teams to support process improvements and the implementation of new technologies.
- Process Investigations & Improvements : Provide expertise for process investigations and help develop solutions to improve process performance and efficiency.
- Experimental Planning & Reporting : Support the development of experimental plans , draw actionable conclusions from experimental data, and work closely with the team to implement improvements.
Qualifications :
Master's degree in Chemical Engineering , Biomedical Engineering , Biopharmaceutical Engineering , or a related field.
