Primary Skills
- Electronic hardware design

- Experience in Regulatory standards, EMI/EMC requirements
Secondary Skills
- Automotive/Off-highway experience
- Ethernet, CAN (J1939), I2C, SPI
- Familiarity with BSP, driver software
1. Develop, integrate, test, and debug simple to moderately complex embedded software for Vermeer machine control systems and
displays.
2. Support test technicians, as well as production and service personnel in the testing, manufacture, and servicing of Vermeer equipment.
3. Assist in the definition, analysis, and allocation of software requirements, along with developing machine-level testing approaches and
procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or
other Engineering field with an emphasis in embedded software or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiar with embedded software programming languages, such as C, C or Qt.
- Interest in any of the following: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Continuous Improvement, Robotics, Machine Learning, DEVOPS (Continuous
Integration/Deployment), Machine Automation.
- Basic understanding of control system theory and design concepts.
- Desire to learn model-based design tools including, Matlab/Simulink and/or Danfoss Plus 1 Guide.
- Exposure to design, test, and implementation of HMI (Human Machine Interface) and Virtual Instrument components and controls.
- Comfortable analyzing stakeholder needs and turning them into requirements.
- General knowledge in electronic circuits, microcontroller architectures, power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and principles of
operation.
- Awareness of Agile software development methodologies.
