Role: Field Service Technician III
Location: Tewksbury, MA 01876
Duration: 6 Months on W2
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (with expected overtime)
Job Overview:
The Field Service Technician III will be responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining Flygt submersible pumps, controls, and support equipment. This position requires strong electrical and mechanical skills and involves working in various outdoor environments, sometimes under extreme conditions.
Interview Process:
Candidates will undergo a series of technical assessments, including:
- Field service interview questions (general technician knowledge)
- Control panel comprehension quiz (electrical schematics)
- Wiring diagram test (control schematic interpretation)
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble, diagnose, repair, and service Flygt pump equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and pump systems using computerized diagnostic tools.
- Repair and maintain electrical control equipment, including electric motors, VFDs, flowmeters, and PLCs.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Perform quality testing on repaired equipment.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to EHS&S policies and best practices.
- Operate a service truck and respond to customer repair calls as needed.
- Participate in Watermark volunteer activities.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Frequent outdoor work with exposure to extreme temperatures and heavy machinery.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more.
- Walking, sitting, and standing for 8 hours per day.
- Up to 75% local travel, including occasional overnight stays and overtime.
