Principal Materials & Design Engineer
Location: Batesville, IN (Hybrid: Tue, Wed, Thu onsite)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible extension up to 2 years)
Job Overview:
Seeking a Principal Materials & Design Engineer to ensure material performance, design integrity, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and verify surface and material performance.
- Provide design guidance and resolve technical issues.
- Support requirements, analysis, and verification processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years of experience.
- Knowledge of coated fabric composition and polyurethane-coated fabrics.
- Experience designing soft goods (foam) and RF welded/sewn assemblies.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
- Specialization in textiles.
- Experience with Design Control and Product Development (21 CFR Part 820).
