Role: Residential Engineer
Location: Clinton, IA
Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with safety and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to review deliverables and meet project milestones, including:
- P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
- Process Descriptions
- Equipment Lists
- IO Lists
- Alarm Lists
- Control Requirements
- Sequence Requirements
- HMI (Human-Machine Interface) Requirements
- Interlock & Permissive Requirements
- Narratives
- Conduct field investigations to ensure alignment between P&IDs, IO lists, and narratives.
- Support the cross-referencing of field wire tags to D3 code for accurate device tagging.
- Assist in instrument layout on General Arrangement (GA) drawings before loop checks.
- Identify decommissioned or faulty instrumentation and document findings for repair work orders.
- Ensure instrumentation is properly tagged before loop checks.
- Assist in loop checks during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Provide startup support during commissioning phases.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in control system design, configuration, and testing.
- Experience with Novatech D3 is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Certified completion of DeltaV training is a plus.
- Experience in network design and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Knowledge of wireless networks (Wi-Fi and Wi-HART) is a plus.
- Familiarity with OSI PI Historian is a plus.
