Role: Test Engineer - Medical Device
Location: Santa Clara, CA - Onsite
Duration: 12 Months - Onsite
**Only W2/1099 - No C2C**
We are seeking a Test Engineer to support our client in developing and testing software for their groundbreaking robotic surgical platform. In this role, you will execute test cases and protocols to validate software functionality through functional, integration, and system testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and execute verification plans and formal tests in regulated industries (medical devices preferred).
- Install software on robotic platforms and perform release candidate testing.
- Conduct ad-hoc, exploratory, and bug verification testing.
- Review technical designs, specifications, and test protocols.
- Utilize Python scripting, Linux commands, and embedded software for testing.
Qualifications
- Education: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience:
- 5 years in software testing, preferably with medical devices or robotics.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Squish, and JAMA tools.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience testing software, firmware, and hardware for robotics or electro-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in system qualification and network troubleshooting tools.
