Job Title: Validation Engineer – Facilities CQV
Location: Pasadena, CA
Job Description:
We are seeking a Validation Engineer with experience in Facilities Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) to support a pharmaceutical project. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Equipment, Materials, and Process Operations (EMPO), as well as Vessel Installation, Operational, and Performance Qualification (IOV/IOPQ), including mixing and temperature mapping.
The project requires daily job walks of the construction site in full PPE, along with potential support for Utilities (WFI, Alcohol, Nitrogen, Compressed Air, etc.), Clean-In-Place (CIP), Filter Press, Centrifuge, CIP skids, and Cleaning Validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute CQV activities for pharmaceutical facility equipment and systems.
- Perform installation, qualification (IQ/OQ), and validation of processing equipment, including centrifuges, filter presses, and mixing tanks.
- Conduct temperature mapping and process verification.
- Participate in daily job walks of the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and operations, to drive validation activities.
- Provide technical expertise and documentation support for validation reports, protocols, and compliance documentation.
- Support additional validation efforts related to utilities, CIP, and cleaning validation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-4 years of Validation Engineering experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong technical expertise in equipment installation and qualification (IQ/OQ).
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams.
- Experience conducting job walks for capital projects.
- Ability to multitask and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Salary : $50 - $55
