Role: Sr. CNC Programmer
Location: Lafayette, IN 47905 (Onsite)
Type of Hiring: Contract
Mandatory skills and requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in CNC program generation using UG NX or Creo and verification using Vericut software.
- Initial job preparation/setup for program generation.
- Good knowledge in selection of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and inserts used on various machines.
- Strong knowledge on drawing standards and GD&T.
- Good communication skills.
Detailed Job Description
- Experience in CNC Programming for structural components.
- Optimizing the existing CNC program for 3 axes to 5 axes.
- Tool path simulation, verification/validation.
- Creating setup/shop floor documentations.
- Revise and update programs and documents based on FAI reports and engineering changes.
- Shop floor support during tryout.
