We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join one of our best clients, a boutique solar and storage developer. This role will support project financing, investment analysis, and financial modeling for our utility-scale solar projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, renewable energy project finance, and market research. You will work closely with a great team of industry renown veterans and be able to be an agent of change in the renewable energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for utility-scale solar projects, incorporating project costs, financing structures, and revenue projections.
- Perform scenario analysis to assess project viability and optimize capital structures.
- Support Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) pricing and financial structuring.
- Assist in securing debt and equity financing for projects, preparing investor presentations, and coordinating with lenders.
- Analyze project returns, risk factors, and cash flow forecasts to support investment decisions.
- Support due diligence processes with investors, lenders, and project stakeholders.
- Conduct market research on energy policies, incentives, and regulatory frameworks affecting solar development.
- Track trends in energy pricing, grid integration, and financing structures to inform project strategies.
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance to ensure alignment with forecasts.
- Assist in preparing internal financial reports and investor updates.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
- 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, project finance, or investment banking, preferably in renewable energy.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling using Excel.
- Knowledge of project finance, tax equity structures, and energy market economics.
- Experience working with PPAs, debt financing, and investor presentations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with renewable energy policies, tax credits, and incentives (e.g., ITC, PTC, IRA).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $130,000 - $180,000
