Here’s what your day-to-day might include:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and secure software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and other modern frameworks
- Sustain and enhance GHOSTGEM’s existing applications, including JEDIPOWER, while integrating with COTS, FOSS, and custom components
- Write and troubleshoot Bash and Python scripts, leveraging the Linux command line for automation and maintenance
- Work with containerized solutions using Docker and containerd, and integrate services using RabbitMQ and Kafka
- Use CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control to ensure smooth deployments and quality code delivery
- Implement NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and maintain strong data-driven design practices
- Collaborate across teams and serve as a key contributor to architecture decisions, integration planning, and performance tuning
Required:
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience; OR 9 years of relevant software engineering experience in lieu of a degree
- Strong experience in Java development within a Linux environment
- Proficiency with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Integration)
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, containerd)
- Scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
- Experience with messaging frameworks like RabbitMQ and Kafka
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Bamboo) and Git source control
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible
- Experience with Kubernetes and Helm Charts for orchestration and deployment
- Familiarity with log aggregation tools like Loki
- Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence
- Experience with event-driven and data-driven architectures
- Background in developing for mission-focused environments and agile teams
- The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
