What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Plant Worker position at Intelligen?
Job Title: Production Operator General Purpose: 2nd/3 rd Shift 6:00 pm to 6 am
This position puts away bulk raw material, feeds raw materials into the manufacturing process, operates the batching system, supports the granulator operator by visual inspections of the operating equipment and records data.
Primary Accountabilities*:
• Performs general housekeeping, sweeping, shoveling, mopping, etc.
• Reports safety concerns to Production Crew Leader as soon as they are identified
• Complies with all safety, environmental and operating standards
• Monitors computer based control systems and equipment for malfunction or breakdown potential and respond accordingly to minimize downtime and/or equipment failure
• Ensures all plant equipment is operating at maximum efficiency
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area in accordance with company standards Qualifications:
• Must be able to lift heavy loads
• Communicate effectively with co-workers
• Effective daily interaction with plant personnel
• Ability to work independently, self starter
• Ability to dependably work assigned hours and be punctual
• Able to multi-task • Must be able to work in a dirty environment
• Willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Must wear steel toe boots and safety glasses Comments:
• This position may require overtime, for example during annual session.
Overtime is at the direction of the immediate supervisor and the client.
