BlueHalo is seeking talented, innovative, and highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer who possesses a mechanical engineering background with extensive experience in the mechanical design of complex systems. Working as a team-member within the Mechanical Engineering Group, the candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, assembly, testing, and integration of mechanical systems all while working within agile, multi-disciplinary teams.

BlueHalo is seeking talented, innovative, and highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer who possesses a mechanical engineering background with extensive experience in the mechanical design of complex systems. Working as a team-member within the Mechanical Engineering Group, the candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, assembly, testing, and integration of mechanical systems all while working within agile, multi-disciplinary teams.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Responsible for mechanical design of individual components and assemblies.
- Perform analysis to validate designs.
- Manage and plan your work with minimal guidance.
- Be called upon as a subject matter expert to present design work.
- Develop engineering Support Documentation and Test Procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Ability to support occasional travel for project needs, both locally and within CON US.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software package including mechanical design, drawings, and complex analysis
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) software
- Expertise in tolerance analysis and GD&T practices
- Experience and willingness to be hands-on during hardware assembly, integration, and testing
- Experience using common hand and power tools
- Comfortable working with a multi-disciplinary team in a lab or testing environment
- Understanding of common machining and fabrication processes
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to develop and manage tasks given an end goal
- Experience with Ansys structural and/or thermal analysis software tools
- Broad knowledge of materials, machining, and fabrication standards
- Expertise in Microsoft Access, Visio, and/or Project
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline from an accredited four-year university
- 10 years of relevant experience with mechanical design and drawings
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance
