About The Role
Intelliguard has an excellent opportunity for a HR Intern to join our team in San Diego, CA reporting to the HRBP. As an HR Intern, you will be responsible for supporting various HR functions, including onboarding, recruitment, compliance research, employee engagement, and HR reporting. This role provides hands-on experience in HR operations while contributing to key projects that enhance the employee experience and organizational efficiency.

About The Role
Intelliguard has an excellent opportunity for a HR Intern to join our team in San Diego, CA reporting to the HRBP. As an HR Intern, you will be responsible for supporting various HR functions, including onboarding, recruitment, compliance research, employee engagement, and HR reporting. This role provides hands-on experience in HR operations while contributing to key projects that enhance the employee experience and organizational efficiency.
What You'll Be Doing
- Employer Branding & Employee Engagement
- Monitor and track employer reviews on Glassdoor and Indeed, flagging any concerns to the HR team.
- Create and monitor 30/60/90-day employee check-ins and exit interview reporting.
- Create and support employee recognition programs such as maintain monthly employee spotlights.
- Research cost-effective employee engagement initiatives and develop strategies
- Onboarding & Orientation Support
- Assist with internal pre-onboarding communications and manager checklists.
- Ensure welcome letters and IT setup forms are completed before new hires' start dates.
- Send pre-onboarding emails to stakeholders once background checks are cleared.
- Shadow onboarding presentations and support new hire orientation.
- HR Metrics, Compliance & Systems
- Conduct compliance research on state and federal regulations and compile reports.
- Assist in tracking HR metrics, including recruitment spending, time-to-fill, and engagement data.
- Help build and maintain HR systems, including HRIS and Learning Management System (LMS).
- Recruitment Support
- Assist with interview scheduling when applicable.
- Create requisitions in the ATS.
- Shadow intake meetings and recruiter phone screens to learn about talent assessment.
- Develop phone screen templates and learn about competency-based interviewing.
- Payroll
- Assist in pulling and cleaning payroll reports
- Other Project and Opportunities based on HR Intern’s interest.
- Perform other Duties as assigned.
- Preferred Current Junior pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration with a focus in HR, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in HR processes, compliance, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of leveraging AI tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with HR systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with Canva is a plus.
- Hands-on experience working in various HR functions, including compliance, recruitment, and onboarding.

- Hybrid role in San Diego, CA (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

- The essential functions of the job are usually performed in an office setting, in an indoor, temperature-controlled environment. The office environment noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. While performing the job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods, standing and walking intermittently, reach with hands, arms, talk or hear.
