The Strategic Finance & Market Research Analyst will be responsible for working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations that influence critical business decisions, driving the company's growth and long-term success. About The Role

What You'll Be Doing
- Market Research: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to gather relevant market insights, competitor analysis, and customer data that inform financial and strategic planning. Use market trends and forecasts to provide insights into growth opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Financial Modeling: Develop financial models under various scenarios, making necessary assumptions to evaluate potential outcomes in situations where reliable data is limited. Provide projections, sensitivity analyses, and risk assessments to guide decision-making processes.
- Partnerships & Joint Ventures (JVs): Model, analyze, and assess potential partnerships and joint venture opportunities. Work cross-functionally to negotiate and structure deals, ensuring that the financial and strategic objectives align with the company’s long-term goals.
- Strategic Planning & Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments including Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Legal to align financial and strategic objectives. Provide support and financial insights to guide company-wide strategic initiatives.
- Contract Reviews & Negotiations: Review and evaluate financial contracts related to partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A activities, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with the company's objectives. Provide recommendations for negotiation and improvement where necessary.
- M&A Activity: Support merger and acquisition activities by conducting financial due diligence, performing valuation analyses, and developing integration plans. Work closely with senior leadership to structure deals and ensure the success of acquisitions.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Prioritize tasks and ensure timely delivery of insights and analyses across all initiatives.
- Ad Hoc Requests: Provide dynamic and responsive ad hoc support to move the core business forward, including conducting in-depth financial analysis, preparing comprehensive reports, and executing various strategic initiatives as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- MBA or a similar advanced degree is a strong plus.
- Proven experience (3 years) in strategic finance, market research, and financial modeling for M&A, partnerships, or joint ventures.
- A deep understanding of economics, accounting, and entrepreneurship that informs decision-making.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to construct financial models in environments filled with abstract assumptions and limited data.
- Expertise in reviewing contracts, interpreting complex legal language, and collaborating with legal and business teams to ensure optimal outcomes related to partnerships, joint ventures, M&A activity, and other strategic initiatives.
- Strong business acumen and a proactive, strategic approach to driving business growth and maximizing opportunities.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial data and present it in a clear and actionable way to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- A proven ability to work under pressure, managing multiple projects and tight deadlines with precision and efficiency.
- Meticulous attention to detail, paired with strong organizational and project management skills.
- A true team player, capable of collaborating across departments and aligning financial insights with business objectives.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while remaining aligned with team goals and company strategy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools, including a deep knowledge of financial statement analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in Power Pivot, Power BI, Python, or similar tools is a strong plus.
