Job Title: Attorney – Aerospace & Defense
Salary: $120,000 – $200,000 per year (based on experience and book of business)
Location: On-site – 150 W Jefferson, Detroit, MI 48226, United States
Working Days: Monday – Friday
Working Hours: 40 – 50 Hours Per Week
Job Type: Full-Time
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on government and commercial contracts involving Aerospace & Defense (A&D) matters.
- Draft legal memoranda, bid protests, Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs), claims, and policy commentary.
- Conduct legal research on government contracts, administrative law, and federal/state regulations.
- Support litigation, compliance planning, training, and internal or government investigations.
- Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts.
- Represent clients in court or administrative proceedings, including bid protests and claims.
- Manage both new and existing client relationships effectively.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Must be admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, the D.C. Bar, or eligible for admission in Maryland or Virginia.

Required Skills:
- 3 years of experience in federal government contracts.
- Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and other FAR supplements.
- Experience with U.S. export controls, including OFAC sanctions.
- Familiarity with teaming agreements, joint ventures, and mentor-protégé programs.
- Proficient in legal research and writing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Space law, FMS/FM/F, security clearances, FOCI, CFIUS knowledge a plus.
- Portable book of business preferred but not required.
