Job Description:
Intelliknow is seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Equipment Technician to join our team in Midland, MI. This individual will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in diesel mechanics, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of safety protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and work orders.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding repair timelines and equipment needs.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, following company procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in diesel equipment repair or related field.
- Certification or technical diploma in diesel technology is preferred.
- Proficient in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and diagnostic software.
- Ability to lift heavy components and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Must be located within a 40-minute commute of the job location.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
