Overview:
- Your main job is to ensure the smooth operation of the lab environment by managing supplies, coordinating services, and supporting lab staff.
- You act as a single point of contact for lab needs, helping researchers focus on their work without worrying about logistics.
Lab Coordination & Support
- Be the go-to person for lab staff, ensuring their needs are met.
- Maintain lab supplies (glassware, PPE, consumables).
- Help with waste removal and ensure proper disposal.
- Manage vendor visits for repairs and maintenance.
Communication & Collaboration
- Work closely with lab staff, service teams, and management.
- Keep everyone updated on lab service requests and issues.
- Help with safety compliance and lab cleanliness (5S methodology).
- Train new lab members on lab procedures and services.
Cold Storage & Emergency Support
- Monitor lab freezers, fridges, and cold rooms.
- Handle emergencies (e.g., transferring samples from failing cold units).
- Provide on-call support (after 5 PM and weekends) for urgent lab equipment failures.
Administrative & Compliance Task
Minimum:- Associate’s degree 1 year of lab support experience OR
- High school diploma 2 years of lab support experience
- Must have worked in a scientific or lab environment.
